- Europe’s leading digital health event in Munich starting in April 2027
DMEA, Europe’s leading digital health event, is receiving high-level political support: Federal Health Minister Nina Warken has once again assumed patronage for 2027 and will deliver the opening keynote address. This is a clear signal from the federal government regarding the strategic importance of digitalization in healthcare and the new Munich location. DMEA will take place from April 13 to 15, 2027, at the Messe München exhibition grounds.
“Federal Health Minister Warken’s commitment is more than a sign of continuity—it is a strong political endorsement of the DMEA and of Munich as the central meeting place for the digital health community starting in 2027,” explains Sascha Raddatz, CEO of the German Association of Healthcare IT Vendors (bvitg e. V.). “We are convinced that Munich brings together everything needed for the digitalization of healthcare–technology, life sciences, research, and industry–all in close proximity. This is the ideal foundation for the further development of the DMEA.”
Starting in 2027, DMEA will take place for the first time in the Bavarian capital, in cooperation between bvitg e.V. and Messe München. In 2026, the event will be held in Berlin for the last time. With this change of venue, the next phase of DMEA’s development begins with, featuring a stronger international focus, new content initiatives, and additional room for growth in the heart of Europe.
