Europe's leading event for digital health: DMEAApril 13–15, 2027
Location: Munich Exhibition Center
This is DMEA
DMEA is Europe's leading event for digital health and the most important trade fair for digitalization in healthcare. As the industry's central meeting place, it brings together practice, IT, politics, and science. Every year, more than 20,500 trade visitors attend, nearly 900 companies present their solutions, and over 450 speakers shape the congress program.
Connecting Digital Health in the Heart of Europe
DMEA stands for Connecting Digital Health—for the structured networking of technology, regulation, and care. It brings together decision-makers in the digital health industry, highlights innovations, and classifies regulatory developments. From hospital IT and practice software to AI, interoperability, and data ecosystems, it covers the entire digital value chain in healthcare. This is where the strategic course for digital transformation is set—nationally, for the DACH region, and for Europe. In 2026, DMEA will take place in Berlin for the last time. All information about the 2026 event, tickets, and program can be found at dmea.de.
Continuity and the next stage of development
From 2027, DMEA will take place in Munich. This marks the beginning of the next stage of development—with a stronger international focus and additional room for growth. The reason for the change of location is a new strategic cooperation between the German Association of Healthcare IT Vendors (bvitg) and Messe München. DMEA will remain the central platform for the industry. Its mission remains unchanged: to actively shape the digitalization of healthcare.
New location. Same DMEA. The next level.
Voices from the industry
DMEA stands for digital healthcare that is noticeably improving everywhere in Germany—not just in the capital. In a federal system, states and regions bear central responsibility for hospital planning, investment, and implementation. A location like Munich combines this with one of the strongest high-tech and innovation ecosystems in Europe—with clinics, research, medtech, start-ups, and industry in close proximity. This strengthens DMEA as a leading national platform: less debate—more implementation power.
A DMEA in Munich offers the perfect environment to advance digital health solutions together and across sectors: state-of-the-art infrastructure, strong networks, and a highly professional target audience, in the heart of Europe—ideal for CGM, ideal for the health IT industry, and for me, a location with great potential for the digital health community. Come and visit us in Munich in 2027.
medatixx supports and connects medical practices and medical care centers in their daily care work with its practice programs, complementary add-ons, and services. Since 2019, DMEA has been connecting the medical profession with the digital health industry, politics, self-government, and science once a year. With the move to Munich, a stronghold of companies in the digital economy, the topic of digital health is moving even more strongly into the European context and is ideally positioned for a successful future. I am looking forward to DMEA 2027 in the Bavarian capital.
As managing director of NursIT Institute GmbH, I am delighted that we will be represented with our own stand in Munich next year. This will make DMEA even more accessible for many of our customers—with the same high quality and more space for innovation and growth.
With Messe München, we have a strong partner at our side to strategically develop DMEA further. The location stands for new beginnings, modern infrastructure, and technological progress. It goes without saying that Meierhofer will be back as an exhibitor in 2027.
For years, DMEA has stood for quality, reliability, and genuine innovation in digital healthcare. As the leading platform in the DACH market, it brings together all relevant participants in the healthcare sector in a unique way. For us at x-tention, it is clear that DMEA remains our leading trade fair for the digital healthcare industry, which we support with full conviction. In 2027, we look forward to valuable discussions, new ideas, and a successful trade fair in Munich with our customers and partners.
With the new location in Munich, the central DMEA themes of competition, innovation, and interoperability are sure to gain new momentum.
DMEA is moving—and ID is moving with it. Why? Because we want to actively develop DMEA's proven concept in a way that is fit for the future. To do this, we are focusing on a high-quality conference infrastructure, modern exhibition spaces, and an expanded scope overall.
